The Dome

This is the entrance to the Dome, the place I call home.  Our floor is 9,000 feet thick, solid ice and snow.  In years past, before the new crew would arrive on station, they would spread fresh clean snow on the dome floor to clean the place up.  They didn't do this for us this year.

The walls are covered with rime frost.  This is frost created from the exhaust of the vehicles that enter the dome to bring our supplies, and move snow.
